On the sledge, set, go. In Fribourg Region, sledging enthusiasts will find their perfect winter experience. Be it on the slopes of Moléson, in the middle of Fribourg’s Old Town, combined with snowshoeing or at the foot of the Gastlosen. With so many sledging options, it’s easy to fall in love with Fribourg Region this winter! Is there still enough snow abd are the toboggan runs open? Thanks to the snow report, you will find all the information about snow and weather conditions in our seven family-friendly ski areas.

Participants can take the cableway from Jaun at 1,580 m above sea level, soak up the panorama and then enjoy a magnificent 6 km sledge run down to the valley. And if you arrive at the right time, you can see the light flashing through the "Grossmutterloch” of the Gastlosen.

The mountain offers pure winter fun. Arriving in Plan-Francey by mountain railway, head for the exhilarating 4 km long sledging run next to the Moléson ski slopes. The run winds its way through idyllic forests and meadows. The end of the trail offers you a magnificent view over Lake Gruyère. On Saturdays the fun can also be experienced at night.

New since last winter, a total of 4 km of pistes slopes leads from the Vounetse mountain station to the valley station of the La Scie chairlift. The run is particularly good for slow lovers, with an extra loop to provide the necessary adrenalin, if wished. You are literally spoilt by the choice.

Snowshoeing and    bobsleigh Les Paccots

The perfect combination! Heat out from Les Paccots uphill on snowshoes to the Alpine restaurant “Le Vuipay”, where you can take a well-deserved break with regional specialities. The return back down into the valley is an exhilarating descent by bobsleigh, which can be hired for CHF 5.00 per person directly at the alpine hut.

Old Town Fribourg

Next year, you will again be able to take out your sledges and slide down the slope in the heart of the old town of Fribourg. The route starts at the “Rue de la Samaritaine” and ends at the “Place du Petit-Saint-Jean", where food and drink trucks await the little sportspeople and visitors. A unique experience that cannot be lived every day! (cancelled this year due to COVID-19)
