Are you looking for an exciting outdoor leisure experience with your friends or family, where you can puzzle together and have fun? Then the Crime Trail is the right place for you. Slip into the role of the investigator, solve the criminal case and convict the perpetrator.
How does a crime trail work?
A crime trail is about solving a criminal case (e.g. murder, burglary, kidnapping etc.).
Anyone wishing to take part buys the Crime Trail of the city in question (costs: CHF 32.-/group of max. 5 people) and then receives an arrest warrant code per group by e-mail as well as the "Crime File" of the case in question: this includes a description of the criminal case, a description of the assignment, a description of the suspects in question (including a situation plan with their places of residence, work and leisure) and an overview of the evidence found at the scene of the crime.
Afterwards you will visit the crime scene and, in an order you determine yourself, the places of residence, work and leisure of the possible perpetrators. At these locations you will receive further clues (e.g. via SMS or simply visually by assigning evidence to the corresponding locations), which will allow you to exclude suspects or locate the perpetrator.
After solving the case (the solution is the name of the perpetrator), you enter the name of the perpetrator on the designated website. You will need the arrest warrant code that you will receive with your purchase. You will then find out whether you have caught the correct perpetrator.
You need this to complete a crime trail?
A mobile phone with internet connection. You will also need to send text messages on the way to get further clues.
The crime file of the corresponding trail. Together with the order confirmation you will receive a download link where you can download and print the crime file of your case.
The arrest warrant code, which you will receive together with your order confirmation by e-mail. With this code you can finally convict the perpetrator.
In addition: It is useful if you are reasonably good at reading maps, so that you can find the suspects' places of residence, work and leisure.
|for a group||32.- CHF|
Participation in a "crime trail" costs CHF 32 per group or per arrest warrant code. If there are more than 5 participants, additional arrest warrant codes must be purchased accordingly. If there are several groups, the Crime Trail can also be done as a competition against each other. Trails are available online or at the office from Murten Tourism.
