New exhibition in the Vitromusée
Bernese artist Simon Berger (*1976), a carpenter by training, has spent years perfecting his artistic technique. Fascinated by human faces, he created his first glass work in 2016 while in the experimental phase. His art challenges the interpretation of reality and his aesthetic gives an interesting twist to the 'broken window' theory. Now in demand for projects around the world, Simon Berger's career takes off in 2021 with the portrait of US Vice President Kamala Harris, which is on display on the National Mall in Washington.
For his exhibition at the Vitromusée Romont, which is the first in a museum setting, Simon Berger is creating completely new works to offer visitors an overview of his artistic work.
The exhibition is accompanied by a video-interview of the artist, who will be present at the Vitromusée Romont for the opening of his exhibition on 9 April 2022. On this occasion and as part of the Vitrofestival, he will give a demonstration in the courtyard of the castle at 3pm.
